Having Trouble With Decisions?

Each of us faces daily decisions, some small, some large, and some of great importance. Often these decisions prove far from life-changing, however, we should be seeking guidance and wise counsel daily whenever faced with a decision—any decision. “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6. We should be following the teachings of the Bible and realize that we all will stumble and make mistakes. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5.

Learning from the past and not repeating the same errors over and over again truly is a wise course of action. “In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” Psalm 25. He will provide understanding and help you whenever necessary. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12. Our personal relationships, work, social interactions and friendships greatly benefit when we follow the teachings of His Word. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17. This includes making wise decisions!

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of Godmay be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Yes, whenever faced with a decision, look to Him and His Word for assistance.
